Relaunch 2020 Small Business Resilience and Development Program

Learning Partnerships is relaunching its BSB42518 Certificate IV in Small Business Program in 2020 with an emphasis on Business Resilience, Development and developing strategies to manage the business, family and cultural commitments and needs. New programs are kicking off on December 16th and January 17th with Full-Day Masterminds.

The BSB42518 Certificate IV in Small Business Management has been exclusively developed for small business owners. We emphasise the immediate and practical application of knowledge, so you can take everything learned in your qualification and implement it in your business.

Program Overview

The course is delivered through workshops and by one-on-one coaching with business mentors, each of whom is qualified industry professionals with a proven track record of owning or managing successful businesses.

Delivery of this flexible program has been designed to assist participants to work on their own business or idea.  

All assessment pieces are contextualised to your business and your specific needs so you will not be just doing an assignment for the sake of doing an assignment – you will be working on your business plan.

Quarterly Coaching 

As part of your Certificate IV in Small Business you will receive four quarterly goal check in and coaching sessions.

These are based on your enrolment date and will be scheduled with you and your trainer.

Tutorial Days

You are welcome to attend any of our open tutorial days on Tuesdays and Thursdays to work on your assessments, business plan in a conducive learning environment. There are no hard or fixed times. Come for an hour or come for the day.

Additional Workshops

At the commencement of your course, you are welcome to attend a Power Planning and Master Mind Workshop which addresses the requirements of several units.

Room Hire

As a small business you may have a need to have access to professional training or meeting rooms. Ask our friendly administration team for assistance if you have such needs.

Advisory Board

Advisory boards provide you with the ability to collaborate with other business owners and managers and provide a sounding board to ideas, issues. It provides that fresh perspective that sometimes you may be missing.

Advisory Board times are on the Second Friday of the Month at 10 am. We understand this is during business hours. This is intentional to enable you to work on your business instead of in your business at times that you are more likely to have high energy.

It is highly recommended that you calendar block these into your diary so that you get the most out of these sessions. 


These will be run as formal ‘Board or Committee Meetings’ for an hour and an hour of general business.

Each meeting will focus on a specific area. There will also be a round house on confidential Chatham House Rules on wins, challenges and learnings from the month.

Ongoing mentoring and support is important for all businesses to sustain independence, accountability and transparency to support their business.

Post your qualification completion, you continue with a Small Business Advisory Package which includes quarterly consulting, advisory meetings.
